Work History

Bluff Pointe - Short Film

Ryan Gdovin
08.2024 - 05.2025
  • Written, directed, and performed by Ryan Gdovin, this short film is a deeply personal exploration of trans embodiment and ritual. Every garment featured was hand-constructed and intricately beaded, with each glass bead acting as a fragile, deliberate marker of time and transformation. Through the labor-intensive process of beading, the artist ritualizes hormone replacement therapy, externalizing an otherwise internal journey. The film honors the vulnerability, repetition, and ceremony of transition—turning acts of care into visual, tactile milestones of identity and health.
