Technical Trainer

  • Attended the Bob Pike Train the Trainer Training Techniques and applied them to my training.
  • Led new hires through the orientation process, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to be successful during their first few weeks on the job.
  • Led and managed development on a technical course for over 265 garage mechanics.
  • Provided leadership and guidance to unionized team members, fostering collaboration and consistent operational success.
  • Designed and developed course outlines, using the ADDIE Model.
  • Created project plans and managed multiple priorities, and met all deadlines.

Powertrain Mechanic

  • Have been placed in thorough training on E-Bus within Metro Transit and with New Flyer to obtain an extensive knowledge of the workings, programs, and most importantly the safety of our E-Bus.
  • Completed all Powertrain duties that include oil leaks all the way up to extremely challenging electrical and Mechanical Diagnosis by way of experience and interfaces provided.
  • Completed over many hours of Cummins Quikserve Courses
  • Have many training aids and literature that I could incorporate into Metro Transit as aids to help our techs with something to reference out in the field.
  • Have a proven track record on completing challenging tasks and ensuring that these items are Completed in a manner that the vehicle does not come back for the same issue.
  • Pride has always been number one in providing quality repairs by means of working in a clean and organized Environment so that I am efficient and effective.
  • Follow up on repairs not only that I have completed but also will conference with other Mechanics and Fleet to get details on how the repair could have been better and incorporate that knowledge into future repairs.

  • Obtained one of four Technical Services Positions at RTD to assist Master Mechanics with hard to diagnose repairs, as well as obtaining trends of recurring road calls and finding proven practices to decrease road call milage via programming or retrofitting our vehicles.
  • Working closely with the body shop on hard-hit vehicles that need all electrical, pneumatic, and/or engine removal to allow a safe and productive repair.
  • Work closely with engineering to find solutions to ongoing road calls pertaining to the same issues.
  • I completed testing and confirmed that our fleet is operating within EPA emissions guidelines.
  • Prepare materials, SOP’s, and information to Engineering and Fleet Management to ensure ongoing success.

  • Inspected all coaches to RTD’s above and beyond standards that exceed DOT guidelines daily.

  • Placed on the floor with a senior mechanic to learn how to repair, maintain, and place a safe, reliable vehicle on Colorado roads with CONFIDENCE.

Service and Cleaning

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and minor preventative maintenance on all coaches.
  • Cleaned, fueled, and inspected all coaches before parking in the designated area to ensure an organized and efficient pullout the next morning.
  • Recognize the critical role that end-of-shift cleaning and maintenance play in safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction before the bus is returned to service the next day.

Assistant Engineer

Accomplishments
