- Meets with person-in-charge of vessel for pre-transfer conference to determine facility's expectations, as well as, what is required and expected from person-in-charge of vessel to accomplish transfer in safe and uninterrupted manner
- Communicated with Board Operator via radio to advise status of transfer and report any problems that may occur
- Familiarized with facility piping layout to verify that proper product and pipeline configuration are utilized in transfer
- Maintained detailed dock logs to establish all events are recorded in chronological order
- Operated crane, hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical equipment to connect / disconnect dock arm / hose to vessel
- Operated / Troubleshot manual and/or motor operated valves to control flow of product being transferred
- Followed all procedures to safely accomplish concurrent transfers and maintain equipment according to facility guidelines
- Trained new employees to safely perform job tasks and follow procedures according to company standards
