SUMMARY

I work in the early morning merchandising items for sale for when the warehouse opens. I use pallet jacks to move pallets into their designated position and ensure that they are neat and front facing. This job requires physical strength to move pallets as heavy as 1 ton and a lot of creativity and organizational skills to ensure products look ready for sale.

SUMMARY

We clean commercial parking lots and nearby roads and side streets to ensure there is no trash on the pavement or grass line of each job site. Using a grabber and a bucket, pickers ensure that the trash is cleaned by areas the driver cannot reach (corners, grass, sidewalks).

SUMMARY

Initially when I started I was a stower. I put items from pallets and bins into their designated locations for storage. After about 2 months of some of the highest numbers amongst the staff, I was promoted to Problem Solver. I would use a computer cart to analyze items with broken packaging, incorrect UPCs and other issues with sellers and decide what to do with them. After computer work I would fill my pallets and wrap them and use a pallet jack to ship them off to where they needed to go in the warehouse.

I started off as a cashier just ringing up customers but after about 5 months my manager thought I'd make a great addition to the management team. After being promoted to one of the stores Shift Leads I was in charge of my shifts and staff. I completed aisle resets, counted and sent out large quantities of money and ensured my team was on task and doing their best.
