California State University Fullerton
08.2016 - 01.2021
  • Developed and completed a field-intensive, multiyear ecological project. Conducted literature review, site scoping, environmental sampling, habitat and species surveys, field experiments, and vegetation restoration. Managed and worked collaboratively with field crews of 4 people. Generated accurate and concise documentation of natural resources within established project areas.
  • Performed field and laboratory work to monitor adult populations and the long-term settlement dynamics of native and non-indigenous oysters.
  • Provided field support to academic and nonprofit organizations constructing and monitoring artificial oyster beds. Worked as part of a field crew conducting field surveys for wildlife and wildlife habitat.
  • Consulted with city and state agencies to acquire permits and determine field project locations.
  • Developed data analysis plans and provided statistical interpretation for graphs, tables, and charts.

IT and Data Entry Technician

Zero 8 Industries
01.2019 - 05.2020
  • Built custom PCs to client specifications. Repaired, upgraded, setup, and configured PCs
  • Worked collaboratively with co-workers to install and troubleshoot low voltage cables and IoT devices in residences and commercial offices.
  • Routinely input class schedule data into an online database for a large academic client. Utilized strong personal organization skills to audit numerous class schedules and resolve conflicts.

Teaching Associate

California State University Fullerton
08.2016 - 12.2016
  • Taught Biology 101 labs with up to 25 students.
  • Communicated professionally with supervisors, support staff, co-workers, and students.
  • Checked assignments, proctored tests, and provided grades. Organized and maintained student records.
  • Upheld workplace safety and demonstrated ability to abide by CSUF’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Laboratory Technician

Chapman University
06.2013 - 06.2016
  • Responsible for overall lab maintenance, administrative tasks, and facilitation of student research. Exercised responsible and ethical decision-making regarding laboratory funds, resources, and conduct.
  • Instructed students on established lab protocols and assisted students with rocky intertidal field work. Headed lab meetings when PI was absent
  • Consulted with vendors to purchase equipment and supplies. Recorded lab inventory and kept records.

Undergraduate Biology Researcher

Chapman University
05.2012 - 05.2015
  • Performed field and laboratory experiments to investigate the behavior of marine invertebrates
  • Provided field support for a project determining the ecological causes and consequences of an invasive seaweed in CA. Performed species surveys via SCUBA. Adhered to diving safety policies and procedures.
  • Extracted and processed soil cores from wetlands for a project investigating the storage of carbon and nitrogen in wetlands.
  • Organized and prepared documents for journal submissions. Responded to editor feedback.
