WAREHOUSE LEAD
DOT FOODS
05.2018 - 02.2024
As a lead at Dot Foods I was responsible for setting up shift and to get everyone started on their job function for the day
Part of the setting up was to build a roster of what everyone was doing for that day, dropping the workload, assigning trailers to our receivers, and handling any unforeseen problems that would arise at that time
Handling the work flow throughout the shift to ensure the workload was completed
Some other responsibilities would be to coach employees on any problems they had done correctly
Working with employees and developing them if they were interested in a leadership role in the future or just to better them at their job function
Also researching any discrepancies with any loads, pick, or with receiving using the different Dot Food systems.

Communication Skills
I have learned that communication is an important aspect to any company. Sending communication on anything, even something deemed small and not as important can still help the company down the line. If the next person can look at that communication and it saves them time figuring it out, then it was worth it.
Leadership Experience
I worked at Dot Foods for 9 months before being promoted to leadership. Gives a good feeling of accomplishment to help other employees when they come to you with a problem and you can fix it for them, explain what happened to cause it, and even tell them how I fixed it so that they may learn from this next time.
