Currently the Purchasing & Facilities Supervisor at Carroll EMC where I have been employed for over 22 years. I began as a meter reader in 2002 then immediately transitioned into the apprenticeship program where I worked my way up to Journeyman Lineman in 2011. During my time here I have worked in every element, environment and situation that a distribution lineman could and gained valuable knowledge in the process which include electrical troubleshooting on both overhead and underground, storm restoration both locally and out of town. In 2018 I was given the project of HID to LED conversion of our outdoor lighting system, we were able to complete this 18 months ahead of schedule with great success. Over the course of my career I have presented numerous electrical safety and training demonstrations to multiple schools, companies and organizations around the state of Georgia including the state FFA convention, Skills USA and Sunbelt AG expo in Moultrie GA. In March of 2021 I was given the opportunity to take over the role of Purchasing Supervisor where I expanded my administrative and computer skills along with creating great relationships with multiple vendors, material representatives and manufacturers. Through my purchasing experience I have gained a wealth of product knowledge by attending manufacturing plant tours and studying material specifications. To add to this, I have managed the construction of a new 5 million dollar fleet garage, new onsite fueling station along with multiple renovation projects on top of daily purchasing and procurement responsibilities.
