Summary

Hardworking/ Persistent- I challenge myself in and out of school to make myself the best person I can be. Whenever I am faced with a challenge or problem, I put forth a lot of effort. Rather if it is staying late at school for a review session or arriving early to prep for work, I work as hard as I can to achieve my goals. Compassionate- Something that is a great passion of mine is being empathetic. Through over 350 community service hours, certified in teen mental health by an outside organization that came to Plant to train a small group of 6-8 students including myself, and a small group I founded Teens Supporting Teens, which is a small group I lead to help other students cope with the loss of an immediate family member. Responsible- I show responsibility by being on time to school and each class. I pride myself on consistently showing up to class each day with a hunger for learning whatever it may be in class, prepared for the day's task, and having self control.

Accomplishments

- Teen Mental Health Certified by Teen Mental Health USA

- Teen Court - I listened to various cases of teenager's crimes, consulted with my peers, and determined paths for corrective action to benefit the community. Teen Court was meaningful to me because it gave me a view on what it looks like to be in a court room, consulting with judges, and what my day as a lawyer could consist of. Summer Program related to Sports Business- This past summer, I attended a week long program to learn more about the field of sports business at a university. I experienced what it may be like in the classroom setting in college, and what I will do in my professional career if I go down the route of sports business. We got to meet with executives from professional sports teams relating to sports marketing, analytics, and finance.

Additional Information

I am excited about going to college for a couple of different reasons. For me, knowing that I can start a new adventure in college excites me. In college, I hope to continue to find out who I am as a person and develop life long skills such as perserverance and responsibility. Another reason I am excited to college is to start my journey to a higher level of education. For me, I am extremely passionate about exploring different areas of subject matter not available in high school, and knowing that I am one step closer to finding my passion in life. I am also excited about being part of a college community enjoying all that it offers including collegiate sports.
