Traffic Control Technician

Hampton Tedder Electric
Moorpark, CA

As a Traffic Control Tech lead I was paired up with a helper who assisted me in setting up safe Traffic control for all the line crews we worked with. I would coordinate with either the G.F. or Foreman of the job and set up accordingly to each project description. Whether it was a pole change-out, wire pull, crane set, helo set, or underground job. I was also in charge of going door to door of the effected customers where the work would be taking place and coordinate with them to get them out of the work zone if possible or simply give them updates regarding how the job would be going and how long the outage would effect them. I was also part of a T.&E. Crew here, this gave me the opportunity to work directly for S.C.E. daily and get more familiar with their expectations of work involving overhead and underground work for distribution.
