. Helped set up community events such as art therapy activities for Detroit youth and their families.

. Worked in the boutique where children's parents could come and take donated clothing for their children.

. Worked in the literacy center and library and helped children with their reading and writing skills.

. This is an ongoing experience, and I volunteer here about once a week for three hours.

. Helped children and their families find their way to appointments.

. Directed visitors to their child's room or hospital wing.

. Volunteered at the "Big Dig" event where children could interact with construction equipment and take free toys and stuffed animals

. Volunteering whenever events and opportunities arise, typically a few times each month.

. Worked with children ages 6-13.

. Was responsible for a new group of children each day, typically between 10-20.

. One female co-counselor was present daily to care for the girl campers during swim and locker room time.

. Monitored the children during activities such as tennis, swimming, basketball, and pickleball. Also participated in each of these activities.

. Worked Monday-Friday for two weeks, August 19th-August 30th, 8:45 am-3:00 pm.

• Worked with a group of 10-15 children ages 10-12. Most of them were going into fifth grade or middle school.
• Ensured camper safety by enforcing camp rules, supervising group activities, and responding promptly to incidents or concerns.
• Led groups of children through various camp activities, some of which I planned.
• Ensured that each camper was learning new skills through the camp activities and, most importantly, that they were having a positive experience
• Worked from June-August of 2023 and June-August of 2024
• Worked 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
• Worked with one co-counselor
• Created camper awards for each camper on their last day of camp, recognizing them for a skill that they exhibited or a personal trait that made them who they were.

. Attended Walled Lake Western Cross Country practices four days a week from mid-June to mid-August for both the summer of 2023 and 2024

. Coached the boys at girls' teams at 2-3 meets each season.

. Led the team in warm-ups and instructed them during workouts and long-distance runs.

. Spoke to the team frequently and offered words of encouragement and motivation.

. Tutored as a volunteer at St. John Paul II Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

. Taught a first-grade girl on Monday mornings and a fourth-grade girl on Wednesday mornings.

. Used the lessons provided to me to teach the girls about phonics, reading for comprehension, new vocabulary words, and writing skills.

. Interacted with the girls and played games with them if we finished a lesson early.
