Operates generation facilities and associated equipment; starts and regulates equipment, troubleshoots abnormal conditions, performs preventive maintenance, and logs and maintains data and records on equipment to include pumps, motors, valves, fans, air compressors, fuel and ash handling systems, coal conveying systems, water systems, lighting systems, heating systems, steam generators, boilers, and turbines; trained and qualified to operate tractors, forklifts, man lifts and other motorized equipment; performs routine and abnormal repairs to include changing of filters, repacking equipment, removing and replacing valves, lubricating equipment, isolating equipment and performing necessary electrical switching of breakers.

troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and maintains relevant mechanical components of process and non-process plant and field equipment such as centrifugal pumps, valve actuators, conveyor systems and other processing equipment. Must be proficient in machining, rigging, welding, cutting, and fabrication of parts or components needed to maintain or repair equipment. Work is performed in waste water collection system, waste water processing plant, machine shop environment and in an industrial setting.

The Millwrights inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, determine the problem and implement the repair Inspect mill equipment, chains, belt conveyers, gear boxes/drive chains and cranes for maintenance or repair. Use tools such as forklifts and barrel lifts, aerial lifts, boom trucks, drill presses, burning equipment, welding and cutting equipment, portable drills and grinders, measuring devices, laser pump alignment tools, power tools and miscellaneous hand tools
