At Dynamic Utility Solutions I was ported over from my previous employer (Intren in which I worked for 17 years in total) to head up their Cable Replacement project. My day to day included building new elbow terminations, splicing, and overhead terminations on 3 phase and single phase 3 ott & #2 size cable. In conjunction with terminations I also conducted all isolations, grounding, and livening of new cables via Admin orders and Clearance orders. On top of cable work we also swapped out single phase and three phase transformers when needed, as well as re configured loops for load balancing.

Aside from the CR project I also preformed Journeyman lineman tasks on overhead including the following tasks, pole change outs switch installations, transformer replacement, hendrix wire jobs, and lastly numerous local Comed storms.

I worked at INTREN for 17 years in total, the bulk of my 20 years in the trade. The only reason I left was described in my time at Dynamic. As I was ported over from INTREN to help oversee the work INTREN was subbing to Dynamic. In my 17 years at INTREN I have covered the following positions...

With all these positions I have covered a fairly diverse field of tasks. From digging holes, boring, trenching, cable pulling, overhead line building, overhead maintenance, cable replacement, faults, equipment replacement, storm, overhead switching, underground switching.

This was the period in my apprenticeship where I did a bit of traveling as we were slow at home in the result of the economic recession from 2008. Albat was in control placing me from company to company in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
