I worked most of my middle school experience and early teen as a peer tutor, working with kids of special needs and other learning disabilties. I helped them with their assignments and participated in interactive activities with them. Learning useful communicative skills with people who think and progress differently than me, I developed a more compassion and empathic perspective that I carry with me through all life situations. I mastered adaptable abilities and patience with all kinds of people. These skills extended into my senior year of high school where I was hired as my schools sports journalist, writing district published articles for every one of my schools sports games. I interviewed players after every event, gathering information and content in means of uploading the article within only two hours of the games end. Through this experience, my people skills furthered and I gained a series of valuable quick writing methods.
I find joy in many simple and natural things. I enjoy applying my artistic and writing talents to create and produce. I find peace in nature of all kinds so I often find myself surrounded by it or traveling. I am highly fond of the natural dopamine that running and working out creates for me. I meditate, do yoga, read, write and draw to relieve stress and look further into my sense of being. More so, spending time surrounded by animals of all kinds is very valuable to me and something I aim to partake in often.
