  • I worked as a welder at Trails West MFG. I only worked there for the summer because it was my only time off of school. For a job there I was a welder in the shop. My job tasks were to weld up the frame of the trailers. We would start with nothing and then bring the walls and the pieces of the trailer and weld them together. It was a fast-paced environment that took a lot of focus and energy to keep up with the work all day. we would begin work at 6 in the morning and it was a 40-minute drive for me to get to work.
  • I believe that this job would help me with being a sales rep for your company (Zoetis) because it taught me how to work hard and work alongside other people, and do it in a timely manner.

Ranch Hand

  • My job at the Cactus Ranch which was owned by Ryan Hawker was to help with the everyday chores and keep the ranch running. One of the many tasks I did was to help gather and move cows all over the mountain to keep them in places with the best feed possible for them to thrive on.
  • I also would go out on my own quite often to go and fix the fence so that the cows couldn't get out of their pastures and stay where they needed to be.
  • Another job that was done every day was to feed the animals and make sure they had an ample amount of water to be comfortable.
  • We would also ride through the animals quite often to doctor the sick ones and make sure they were healthy and in good shape.
  • For this job, I was able to go out on my own and do the things that the boss told me to do. He trusted me with the ranch and often was left on my own to go and get stuff done.
  • I believe that this job really helped me and gave me the experience that I need to be a salesman at Zoetis. I know how to work with ranchers and help them with the things that they need. I have been on there level and I believe that will help me be a better salesman.
