During my time as a student at Washington State University, I have explored the field of Psychology and Neuroscience, earning my Bachelors degree with a major in Psychology and my minor in Neuroscience.
During my time as an intern for the Clark County Juvenile court, I learned all about the court process from the time an offence is committed to the end of the Juvenile Court's involvement. I learned a lot about working with at risk youth, and met, discussed with, and shadowed the psychologists working in the detention area as well as youth on probation to see what psychological factors can contribute to youth committing offences and possibly reoffending. I mentored community service projects for the youth, worked alongside probation officers to manage case loads and do home and school visits, as well as observed and discussed with court officials to learn about the process.
During my time as a research assistant for Dr. Mike Morgan, I assisted in data collection and analysis using statistical software to ensure accuracy and reliability. I made graphs of data, organized data, and learned all about the lab and different aspects of neuroscience that impacted the research being conducted in the lab.
During my time as an officer for the WSUV Psychology Club, I worked under two different positions. I started as the public relations officer where I managed the social media page, advertised events around campus, and brought awareness and new members to our club. The second role I had in the Psychology Club was the treasurer where I managed club funding, raised money for the club, and planned the spending for each event while serving as a figure for the club attending all of the meetings and helping organize them as well.
