  • I would always get a good pipe count and make sure we would have the right amount down hole and on the ground for use
  • While drlling i would set my alarms on my gain/loss, flow, TQ, WOB,DIFF PSI, SPP so i could keep a eye on it all and see if anything woulod change

  • Matic and adjust it if needed
  • We always worked hard but safety was our NUMBER ONE GOAL! I woud make sure the company man and toolpusher were taking care of and did what task the asked for us to do.While tripping pipe I would not move the blocks and topdrive until the derrickman was 100% tied off and ready
  • We would start at a steady pace and made sure we kept a good count of drill pipe stands as we came out of the hole so i would knolw where we were and i could keep the hole full with drilling fluids every 5 stands and write it down on our trip sheet log that way i would know if the well was giving or taking more fluid than it should
  • The latshaw rig i was on was a 1500hp brake handle rig

  • I would/make sure i had all my proper PPE in the PPE box to mix chemicals and get my list of chemicals that needed to be mixed for the day
