Job overview

This position started off totally remote, then gradually turned into a hybrid position
I was able to work from home at least two days out of the week unless I was needed onsite throughout the entire week
This position required me to do several things such as :

  • recruit new candidates where they fit in best in the Adecco family; even if they weren't a good fit for what I was hiring for, I always made sure to find them the perfect placement within Adecco and sent their information to other colleagues who could benefit from having them more than I could .
  • terminations ; even though termination is never good for anyone, I did my absolute best to keep everyone in good spirits during the termination process (this included helping terminated candidates find work outside of the Adecco family outside of work hours because helping others thrive is my true calling).
  • extensive first day check-ins
  • I made sure that each associate was job ready
  • Stayed open to answer any questions or concerns that they may have had at all times before and after their orientations.

  • assist the 211 hotline with registering people for their COVID vaccines
  • Build rapport with callers, especially those who were upset

I started my ride-share journey in the summer of 2017 to help others and become my own boss. Since that summer I had gotten so in tune with the ride-share business that I began driving for Lyft, Uber, Uber Eats (food delivery), Postmates (food delivery), Roadie (package delivery), Amazon Flex and a few others. Tasks were simple and to the point:

  • Make the customers feel safe and happy, while properly getting them to their destinations, or getting their deliveries to them on time

  • Displayed excellent time management skills by arriving at pickup locations early or on time.

  • Loaded, secured, and unloaded cargo in a safe and timely manner.

This position ended due to me needing surgery that could only be done in another state, and the recovery process could only take place in that state as well. Left position in good standing.

This role was not the most organized role to fulfill as the company was entirely all over the place but allowed me to do what I love to do, which Is help people. My tasks were simple and to the point.

  • Most candidates who were hired weren't very happy with their pay rates, and often felt undervalued, so I did my best to build some rapport with them as much as possible and do what I could to help them find placements elsewhere
  • The vast majority of the positions were very short term which caused frustration amongst the associates, but they were always so pleasant with their frustrations, so that would encourage me to help them fix their resumes to help them qualify for better placements within the same fields; this task was not apart of the job description at all, but I loved doing it as it helped not only the candidates grow but myself as well

My location was eventually closed, and we were all let go.
