On-site X-Ray Expert and Radiation Safety Officer, led Installation, Training and PM Planning of new X- Ray Machine installed in 2020
  • Maintenance Planner: developed 7-Day Maintenance Planning Process for all site equipment. Additionally, scoped, planned and scheduled Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Plans for New and existing Ammonia and Non-Ammonia Equipment, as well as PM Plan Optimization for existing PMs in system using site CMMS (SAP- ERP)
  • Process Improvement Coach: developed SOP's, Qualification Reports, MOC's, and BOM's for new equipment and assemblies by communication with OEM and relevant vendors, and guided technicians to use new equipment or assemblies.
  • Kellogg Startup Management (KSUM) Team member: spearheaded successful commissioning, qualification, and verification [CQV] of three new equipment (construction and installation) projects, amounting to $45 million (New Freezers Mod 1 [2019]; New Freezers Mod 2 [2020] and New Wrappers [2021]).
  • Site Owner, Lubrication Management: led facility-wide Lubrication Process Revamp, installation of new state-of-art Lubrication Storage Unit and Auto Lubers, Color Coding Process, and organized Lubrication Awareness Classes for Technicians, leading to overall reduction in equipment downtime by 3.5%, thus delivering site OEE requirements (MLT-I Certified)
  • Site Owner, Maintenance Parts Storeroom: implemented Inventory Management projects such as bi-annual cycle counts, annual parts obsolescence, slow moving parts reduction, new excess product buy-back initiatives, etc. Executed Storeroom Organization and Continuous Improvement initiatives in storeroom room housing upwards of 4000 parts amounting to $1.7 million. Hired and Developed Maintenance Storekeeper position to help deliver Storeroom deliverables leading to inventory reduction of approximately $500k over 5 years
  • Shift Maintenance Supervisor: led and developed team of 12 mechanics (4 General Mechanics, 3 Electricians, 4 Refrigeration Technicians and 1 PLC Technician) to execute Reactive, Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Activities based on 7-Day Maintenance Plan. Developed Individual Skill Matrices and executed Skill Gap Assessments to provide technical trainings tailored for individual gaps.
  • Breakdown Elimination Specialist: developed Technician capability for effective Breakdown Elimination through DMAIC Process (using tools such as FMEA-RCA, 6W-2H, 5 Why's, Fishbone Diagrams, 8S Problem Solving Technique, autopsy table examinations of components, etc.)
  • Continuous Monitoring Champion: initiated Predictive Maintenance Technologies within facility. Led on-site integration via Visual Dashboards of continuous monitoring systems such as Vibration Monitoring, Amp Monitoring, and IR Thermography . Led installation of Vibration Monitoring and Amp Monitoring Sensors at 30 Site-Critical Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic systems based equipment. Currently executing similar site capability enhancement for IR Thermography.
  • Data Analysis: proficient in using Statistics, KPI data trends, ERP-CMMS generated reports and visual dashboards to perform data analyses on throughput losses and optimizing processes for increased yield, using DOE.
  • Product Quality Mindset: Executed and documented Safe Quality Food Gemba Walks. Enabled continued integration of Site and Company Food Safety Programs with CMMS with Food Stream Mapping and consistent prioritization on Quality related Work Orders.

Internship

Indian Institute of Technology
07.2015 - 12.2015
  • Studied Magnetorheological Abrasive Flow Finishing process on artificial knee joints, and worked towards improving Process Capability by reducing surface roughness varying fluid constituents and rotational speed to increase product life by up to 2 years

Co-Op

Ashok Leyland Automobile Development Plant
12.2014 - 06.2015
  • Implemented novel production techniques aimed at dent reduction in gears at 6-S Gearbox Assembly Line by applying principles of Design for Assembly (DFA), leading to annual savings of ₹36 lakh ($55,000)

Lead Vocalist at the Bay Area Progressive Rock Band Tamas (2021-present) President, Vocalist and Songwriter at the UF Chapter and experimental fusion band, Gator Resonance, Gainesville (2017-2018)

Projects

Improving surface finish in metal parts manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion, University of Florida, 01/2017, 04/2017, Studied prevention of Denudation Zone formation and Porosity in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) metal parts. Applied the principles of Process Improvement to address the denudation problem by combining it with Binder Jetting mechanism. Proposed the Prototype Design of a comprehensive experimental setup which combined Binder Jetting Mechanism with LPBF Construction of a synthetic 'Swaramandal' using carbon fiber composites, VIT University, 01/2016, 04/2016, Modelled the body and internal structure of the Indian classical music instrument Swaramandal using CAD software SolidWorks. Performed vibration analysis through Impact Hammer Frequency Testing on 4 different compositions of Fly Ash, Silk, and Carbon Epoxy with carbon fiber, eventually selecting one with volume fraction of 0.475. Manufactured a synthetic Swaramandal from scratch using 300 GSM carbon fiber, silk with density 1.3 g/cc and 5 percent (by volume) fly-ash modified epoxy composites using vacuum bagging on 10-layer composite laminates
