Impactful Experience - Description
In 2020, after completing my house job, I was preparing for my Step 1 exam and was halfway through my preparation when my father contracted COVID-19. Since vaccinations were not readily available until 2021, his condition became extremely severe, and he had to be hospitalized. The hospital expenses quickly became unaffordable, and we soon found ourselves in significant debt. This situation took a heavy toll on our mental health, and I had to take a break from my studies. However, as things gradually began to improve, I found a job to finance my USMLE journey. This experience became a turning point in my life, teaching me the importance of resilience and preparing me for life's unpredictability.
