I would like to be a Residential Assistant because I lived in the dorm and my Residential Assistant was really nice and they helped me through the whole year when I needed them. I want to be there for residents like how my residential assistant was for me The idea that I would promote community in my residence hall by getting to know the residents by building connections with them, having events to promote them to get to know other residents, or meet new people, and be there for them when they need someone to talk to or if they are having a problem that needs to be solved. In the residence halls, RAs plan programs that emphasize learning about Academic Success, Identity Exploration, Leadership, Student Engagement, and Equity and Inclusion and I will focus on all that.
