  • As a Travel Nature Camp Counselor for Franklin County Metro Parks, I supervised roughly 15 children for about 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
  • We are a travel camp that explores different Metroparks around Franklin County, Ohio. Additionally to the travel camp aspect, I was required to operated an RV that transported campers around the city and parks.
  • I instructed campers in activities such as hikes, archery, fire building, fishing, kayaking, nature interpretation, crafts, and field games.

  • As a volunteer employee of Camp Lazarus's Nature Center, I work at a number of events throughout the year held in the Nature Center.
  • I was required to speak to the public about the campgrounds, program happenings, and a number of wildlife-based subjects.
  • I, as well as the other Nature Center employees, were responsible for the well-being and care of a number of animals kept at the facility. These animals included a painted turtle, a guinea pig, a hognose snake, a hedgehog, an American toad, a mouse, a saltwater tank, a freshwater tank, and a freshwater fish tank aquaponics system.
  • Throughout the year, I am responsible for different trail maintenance activities, such as timber clearing, trash pickup, and general trail cleaning.
  • During the winter season, I was responsible for tapping Camp Lazarus's maple trees for the Camp Lazarus Maple Syrup Festival, held in early spring.
  • Additionally, working this event, I spoke to the public on the maple syrup tapping and collection process.
  • I took water samples throughout the year to maintain proper water quality conditions for Camp Lazarus Run
