Company Overview:

A European Retailer known for it's fresh produce & baked goods, offering a clean store with weekly "pop-up" deals ranging from home care, lawn maintenance, baby clothes, beauty products & athletic gear! Their move to USA in 2017 started in VA& are expanding across the East Coast with success.

**I took my first & only FMLA in late 2019 employed with Best Market & so my returning role was technically "closing manager" as they worked with my schedule throughout my father's eventual passing from cancer. While Lidl took on many existing employees from Best during the buyout, my role translated to Supervisor although I maintained equal compensation & work hours at Lidl. My responsibilities were:

• Weekly planning for sales goals for each department, following up with leads to ensure KPI goals are prioritized
• Cross training teams to ensure full store support during Covid Pandemic CDC guidelines affected shopping patterns & staff attendance
• Bookkeeping
• Executing a clear & time sensitive plan during weather crises & power outages to properly record losses & protect what could be.
• The structure of leadership roles at Lidl was a unique approach & more akin to Trader Joe's with revolving positions throughout the week. As Supervisor, I could be leader of the "Fresh" department, receiving perishable deliveries & overseeing the rotation of inventory & stocking in compliance with their advanced ordering systems.
• Other days any supervisor could be "SRP" which is acting store management. This role gives the actual store management freedom to work alongside staff or look over other planning & Store Responsible Person is the one to follow up on company recalls, daily info to share with staff, log all waste & order checking & daily safety audits.
• Opening & Closing store while each role was designed to build teams within store operations & execute planograms, ordering, stocking with precision.

• Company Overview: A family owned local grocery store competing with larger run supermarkets like King Kullen, Waldbaums & Stop & Shop, across all of Long Island, a few from East Hampton to Harlem, NYC. They sold to Lidl a few years after I was working there in central Long Island
• Reason for new position/job at Lidl in 2019
• Trained for Lidl while working & supporting various existing Best Markets. Some of my skills gained & used while at Best Market are:
• Cross training teams to ensure full store support during Covid-19 pandemic shopping trends changing rapidly.
• Acquiring a manager food safety "SafeServ" certification
• Weekly planning for KPIs to be met with department leads such as butcher, deli, bakery & applying needs of each into plans with store manager & other assistant, bookkeepers.
• Bookkeeping & filling in for power outages, being able to use my basic training in bookkeeping before POS systems existed in order to precisely calculate store assets in crisis.

• Building displays and re-merchandising as promotional builds sell down to attract more customer interest.

• We packed & prepared 60-75% of our food on site, so from butchers to rotisserie chickens, lobsters & smoothies, I was responsible for knowing guidelines, applying best practices to maintain safety over 'easy'
