- Participation in 12 hour research cruises involving data collection and sampling, lifting and assisting in operation of heavy machinery as well as maintaining a safe, respectful and tidy work environment
- General lab assistance and maintenance, particularly with graduate student Juhi LaFuente's krill ocean acidification project

I enjoy various aquatic activities, eg: kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, free-diving, boogie boarding and surfing, etc. and am very comfortable in the water.
I also have plenty of experience with other outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, tide-pooling, camping, foraging, and identification of local flora and fauna.
I am also very familiar with living in a remote environment as I grew up on a homestead without internet access, potable water, etc.
