- In this small restaurant setting, I memorized over 80 different food plates in order to assist customers with the correct information when ordering. This soon landed me a position in the kitchen where I learned to work quickly under pressure and put my knowledge of these plates to true use. After a couple of years, I was soon upgraded to general manager, where I continued attending to customers, making meals, and overseeing the floor. I learned conflict resolution and how to handle heated situations calmly. I also practiced giving and receiving correct change and using the computer register.
