1.REDUCING THE AVERAGE ED BOARDING TIME FROM PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT TO THE PEDIATRIC INPATIENT UNIT AT KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL: A MULTIDISCIPLINARY QI PROJECT.

SUNY DOWNSTATE HEALTH SCIENCES,2023-2026.

- Aims to reduce the average EBT from 215 minutes to 120 minutes at Kings County Hospital (KCH) in 12 months, i.e 44% reduction.

- We used PDSA cycles for our QI. (a) PDSA#1 -circulating mass awareness emails, (b) PDSA#2- awareness sessions for pediatric and ED residents, (c) PDSA #3 - changes in discharge workflow, (d) PDSA #4 - focused group discussion.

- Findings were presented at PAS, AAP, Downstate Quality improvement fair in 2024 and 2025.
