Communication

Communication truly is key. I am constantly maintaining elevated levels of communication with my leadership in the military and while working as a polysomnographic apprentice. Without communication in a medical setting, it can cause someone to lose their life. I have significantly improved my communication skills through college courses and various experiences. I am continuing to advance my communication skills while completing my masters degree.

Leadership

I have held leadership positions in the military such as platoon guide, team leader, and squad leader roles during different training exercises. I have taught CLS courses to large classes in the military. I was the captain of my dance team in high school for two years. I volunteered as a tutor numerous times throughout my high school and college years. I have also assisted in training new employees in the ED and have helped orientate new phlebotomists. I actively volunteer my time with different veteran programs that take veterans hunting and fishing.
