For proper balance sheet presentation, a monthly reclassification entry is posted to recognize the net debit balance as a receivable. This involved several manual touch points causing delays and error prone entries. Automated the process to extract AP Trial Balance data, Returned but not Invoiced (RBNI) and holdbacks data from heterogenous systems using custom Amazon Big Data tools and Redshift.
- Rearchitected to optimize the incremental integration loads of Balance Sheet data to HFM system by introducing the concept of partitioning and outsourcing the Current Year Retained Earnings (CYRE) and Beginning Year Retained earnings (BegRE) to Oracle Staging area. This helped improve the incremental load from 60 minutes to 15 minutes, a 75% improvement in load process.
