• Assimilate speakers' words quickly, including different industries’ jargon and acronyms.
• Build up a specialist glossary.
• Write notes to aid memory.
• Prepare paperwork - reviewing agendas before meetings, lectures, and Speeches when received in advance.
• Use the Internet to conduct research.
• Work to a professional code of ethics that covers confidentiality and impartiality.
