I am a caring, concerned former educator who firmly believes in public education. I am well-versed in the science of reading and am a strong believer in a phonics-based reading program. I have worked with the ACS curriculum this year.
I will continue to do my best to help close the achievement gap that has plagued our schools for several years. I closely monitor my student's progress while implementing techniques into daily practices that meet each student's individual needs by using various phonetic activities to increase their reading skills.
I was able to develop a strong bond with my students this year and they were always enthusiastic to come work with me. I appreciate each child as an individual who is capable of success.
