At this time in my life I enjoy my church, my support group, my widows organization, all my children and band, but it leaves out the thing I used to do everyday. I still miss it. I think to be a volunteer would be to add purpose to my life.
The program ranged from Middle School through High School. I was certified in math, and taught a contained class of middle schoolers grades 6-8. Two hours each day when they delivered, I went to their homes and took their work.
Northside was K-9. I taught middle school, pre-algebra and algebra. My husband Dr, Charles L,. Gilliam wa the principal.
I taught Health and Physical Education . It was out of need as school was startling and they did not have one. I left to have my first baby.
I retired in 2004 My program ended and I was already 62 My husband passed on in 2013 and I would still like to work with students as a volunteer People my age need to be connected, and to have to have purpose I play clarinet in the Peninsula Concert Band It is 75 years old and I think it is a healthy thing to do If you could use another volunteer I would like to help out,
