Volunteer Experience Highlights

  • HUMBOLDT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT, COMMITTEE MEMBER, EUREKA, CA, 2024-12, 2026-02, Though I admittedly couldn't care less about golf, my participation on this committee was a means to an end to raise funds for a local cause in need. The committee selected the North Coast Rape Crisis Team to be the recipient of the benefit, and over the course of my time there I played an instrumental part in this benefit and auction where we managed to raise over twenty thousand dollars for the NCRCT over the course of a two-day event.
  • SAVAGE HENRY COMEDY CLUB/ KARUNA ANIMAL SHELTER, ETC, BENEFIT ORGANIZER/HOST, HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA, Ongoing. One of the ways I loved to volunteer most in this community as well is to use my skills as a longtime performer, host, and comedian to help organize and raise money for various causes as their need arises in the county. Most recently I've performed in and helped organize various benefits for victims of the Arcata fire in January of 2026, and the Karuna Animal Shelter, though I am consistently active in fundraising efforts for causes in need throughout the community, and in perpetuity.
  • ASHLAND COMMUNITY FOOD BANK, BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBER, ASHLAND, OR, 2020-08, 2023-10, During my time at the formerly named Ashland Emergency Food Bank, I helped implement policies that created salaried positions and benefits for our full-time staff, vastly expanded our reach to help and feed the underserved including home delivery services and large-scale community food drives, and successfully lead a campaign to change our organizations name and mission statement to better reflect our aim and goals. Before departing for Portland, my last several months were spent working directly with our treasurer to get a greater sense of our annual budget, implementation of policies, and expenditures.
  • ASANTE ROGUE MEDICAL HOSPITAL, GUIDE AND PATIENT SERVICES, MEDFORD, OR, 2020-08, 2022-03, In an effort to help our struggling medical staffs during the pandemic, I actively and regularly volunteered at our local hospital assisting patients and guests in their various and ever-changing needs around the hospital including food delivery, escorting visitors, and generally aiding nurses and staff in anything they required within my purview.
  • FOOD FOR PEOPLE, EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH COOK, EUREKA, CA, 2014-10, 2015-05. In addition to helping sort food, when time allowed, I would go to local schools and teach kids about how to cook and prep delicious meals at home on a shoestring budget. I also staged a play around this time where 100% of all the money taken in from the play was donated to FFP. I still volunteer for Food for People in whatever capacity I can when I have time.
