- Evaluates and make appropriate recommendations for the test results of the materials submitted for testing.

- Follow-up day to day chemical laboratory testing programme

- Make appropriate conclusion and/or recommendation for the materials tested based on International and/or Local Standard Specifications (i.e. Dubai Municipality Standard for Water and Drinking Water) or particular Project’s Technical Specifications.

- Make recommendation(s) as to the feasibility of test request from the query of clients and prospective clients.

- Prepares quotations for the test requirements as per the client’s inquiry on materials for testing (i.e. drinking water, water for cement, cement, GGBS, planting soil, irrigation water among others)

- Prepares responses to transmittal, correspondence and technical letter of inquiry received from the client regarding test results, conclusions, recommendations and failure reports.

- Studies and evaluates project’s specifications of the respective projects from the client in order to make appropriate conclusion and/or recommendation.

- Contacts with clients for any required technical clarifications regarding materials testing results, specifications and other related issues.

- Issuance of final test results related to chemical analysis of water such as SO3, Cl-, pH, BOD, COD, O&G, Durability testing results such as Water Absorption, Water Permeability, ISAT, RCP, as well as results for soil analysis, aggregates, cement, steel, etc.

- Study method detection limits and measurement uncertainty of various types of chemical analyses.

- Prepare technical reports, summary of reports and the evaluation of the test reports acquired as requested by the client.

- Regular communication and coordination with immediate superior about the needs and requirements of the clients.

- Regular communication with the chemical laboratory in particular for the day to day follow up on the testing program for the satisfaction of the clients needs and requirements.

- Prepares templates for test reports should there be any need to do so.

- Regularly coordinates with the technicians from the respective off site offices for the follow up on reports for the tests conducted outside the central office.

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION

- Formulates and reviews the standard operation manual that govern the operation of the drug testing laboratory. Review of the manual is done annually

- Conducts internal audit

- Supervises and directs all analytical and operational procedures of the laboratory

- Supervises laboratory staff and attend to day-to-day problems of the laboratory

- Reports on the performance of the QSS to management for the review and appropriate action for the implementation of quality systems

- Delegates jobs to the laboratory staff

- Reports all concern and encountered problem of the laboratory to the manager

- Coordinate with the company's Vice President and manager as needed

TECHNICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

- Assures quality of all laboratory result

- Designs and reviews analytical protocols annually

- Evaluate GC/MS results interpreted by the analyst

- Evaluates, recommends reagents, glasswares, supplies, analytical consumables, and equipment

- Troubleshooting of analytical discrepancies

- Implements the Quality Assurance Program

BASIC FUNCTION

- Responsible for the laboratory quantitative and qualitative analyses of water and wastewater samples of cooling/chilled water system, general water supply and the sewage treatment plant of mall facilities and building.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of all incoming water and wastewater samples from the different malls;

- Certify laboratory results for validity;

- Conduct and prepare standard laboratory reagents;

- Perform standardization of laboratory reagents;

- Periodic checking of equipment performance and calibration;

- Assists in the preparation of purchase requisition for laboratory supply and water treatment chemical consumption;

- Makes the necessary inventory reportorial requirements to superior, to ensure availability of parts and supply;

- Perform other jobs (such as Method Validation) that may be assigned from time to time.
