Autonomous Rover Navigation and Mapping System

Developed a Military Themed Rover, including an interactive virtual map allowing users to select a location, and navigate the rover there. The rover plots its route on a figure and uses a legend to identify objects the rover encounters and avoids.

  • Developed a master function incorporating three local functions within a while loop, with one conditional per local function.
  • Controlled the direction, speed, and obstacle detection/avoidance of the rover by applying algorithmic concepts.

Arduino R3 Fan Controller

Designed an automatic fan utilizing an Arduino Uno R3 that dynamically modifies the fan's power in response to temperature and humidity measurements.

  • Integrated an OLED display and DHT11 sensor for dynamic temperature/humidity response.
  • Implemented pivotal NPN transistor switch to control fan motor.

Relevant Coursework

Currently Enrolled

  • Control Systems - Analysis and design of feedback control systems using transient and frequency response techniques. Stability analysis in the time and frequency domain.
  • Heat Transfer - Heat transfer by conduction. Thermal radiation. Free and forced convection.
  • Mechanisms - Kinematics and dynamics of mechanical linkages, gears, and cams. Balancing of multi-cylinder engines.

Completed

  • Mechanics of Materials, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, System Dynamics, Elements of Machine Design
