A very effective way of teaching is not only to provide the solution, but to give as many possible ways to the student in order to trigger their creativity. Over the course of my training, I came across many different approaches and methods of playing the piano. Subsequently, I had to come up with different ways of internalizing the information. In my teaching, I shed light on as many aspects of learning as the student is willing and capable of understanding. My own personal reading led me to the writings of Jung and Lacan. Their arguments equally speak to the importance of pedagogy in the development of the child's inner model of music. A comprehensive understanding of both the child's musical mind and psyche is paramount to cultivate a student; and not just teach them.
