I am a dedicated and committed Highland Canine Connect Volunteer and Teacher's Assistant with extensive experience supporting foster children and students with disabilities. Skilled in community service, relationship building, and tending to other's needs, bringing strong communication and active listening abilities. Committed to fostering inclusive environments and enhancing individual growth through personalized support.
In 'Highland Canine Connect" Dog Therapy program I work with foster kids to provide them with emotional support and community by using communication skills, and working both individually and in groups to improve their self esteem, as well as motor skills when interacting with my dog.
In Peer Partners I have worked with students with disabilities to help them learn job skills. In addition, I have experience helping students with disabilities to feel welcomed and supported through demonstrating learning objectives in everyday personalized small group assistance, setting up materials for the current lesson, and reviewing the material with students individually.
