Being an Assistant Manager has taught me how to take charge of employees, while building relationships, and training new employees. I monitor the store's daily income and transactions to successfully make the deposits, meaning I am well-versed in counting and handling money. In this position, I learned how to properly handle customer complaints, de-escalate situations, and, mainly, how to better build relationships with customers. Keeping the store running smoothly amongst employees and upkeeping its clean image is my top priority.
My position placed me in a warehouse setting while working in shipping and receiving products, and online fulfillment. I did this by preparing and checking products for shipment and customer satisfaction. I would quality check our incoming merchandise and organize the product placement. In my spare time, I would maintain a clean space for myself and my coworkers.
I worked multiple positions during my time here. I was able to take orders, work the register, run food out to the dining room, and serve the customers efficiently. I learned new ways of cleaning that are relevant to a restaurant environment.
As a receptionist, I was the first face a customer would see when walking into the store. I made sure to promptly greet them at the desk and check them in for appointments, as well as answering phone calls and selling products. Along with that, I maintained the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the store. This included the upkeep of the styling stations, keeping the floors clean, and sanitizing surfaces.
During my time there, I welcomed customers, served them ice cream, and also worked the cash register. I was capable of making ice cream, waffle cones, and designing cakes. This is where I learned to become proficient in cleaning and keeping the store at a higher standard of cleanliness. This job helped me form a better phone etiquette, as well.
