Driven Senior Clinical Application Analyst that is looking to grow my skills in Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Applications in an organization that is dedicated to innovation, growth and putting the patient experience at the forefront.
- Serve as the department lead for Referral and Authorizations. Create Workqueues for prior authorization and scheduling. Conduct meetings with high-level leaders to discuss current and future projects to ensure financial and scheduling teams can accurately and efficiently capture insurance prior authorization, and are able to utilize automated scheduling workflows. Lead projects related to eMPA, CERM, and Access Strategy.
- Supports the Epic scheduling application, Cadence. Build departments, visit types, providers, and resource records for all new and existing buildings and clinicians. Create decision trees that serve as a scheduling guide for specialty departments to ensure accurate scheduling. Create rules and questions within the system to guide schedulers to the appropriate provider, to reduce the patient reschedule rate, and to optimize capacity management within a clinic.
- Serves as team preceptor for all new hire training and onboarding.
- Oversee all OSUWMC new patient and reminder letters. Lead the project with the third-party vendor, RevSpring, to move all automated printing to their system, increasing cost-effectiveness and efficiency workflows.
- Work on various projects, including COVID-19 protocols and vaccine distribution, high-cost medication therapy plans, eConsult workflows, and referral triage.
- Department upgrade lead for Epic Systems' biannual upgrades. Delineate new build items to specific team members while ensuring that all build and training tasks are completed by the requested deadline date.
- Provide on-call support for Cadence and Grand Central/Prelude teams.
- Resolve high-priority tickets in a timely manner for issues involving template maintenance, RTE and OnBase outages, registration, admitting, discharge, and transfer errors.
- Lead contact for implementation, testing, and training the Release of Information staff for the process overhaul from a manual selection record release to an automated record release for the 2019 Epic upgrade.
- Collaborate with multiple Information Technology departments to ensure all third-party applications are flowing appropriately that affect MIM departments.
- Works on help desk tickets to solve complex problems that involve correcting and maintaining accuracy in a patient’s legal medical record.
- Experience in performing multifaceted tasks in Epic: IHIS text-based system, Putty, to solve a wide range of chart correction issues.
-Supervise a staff of 22 employees. Responsible for creating and evaluating monthly reports through multiple software systems, and setting department productivity standards. Hold monthly meetings with staff to evaluate productivity, attendance, and professional development. Independently conduct yearly performance evaluations for all staff, and submit a budget request for merit increases.
-Troubleshoot department problems for a centralized registration that processes an average of 1,100 appointments daily and collects an average of $52,500 in copay and prior hospital balances. Collaborate with ambulatory and inpatient units to problem-solve and best serve patient needs.
-Received the department award of Bravo Recognition for outstanding patient satisfaction for six quarters in a row.
-In charge of hiring, onboarding, and terminating employees, as well as all employee timekeeping through Kronos software.
-Responsible for managing up to 11 physicians' surgery calendars. Coordinate preoperative testing, such as referrals, radiology exams, and lab testing, for surgery patients in the Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery department.
-Manage the in-basket and work queue while providing excellent customer service for patients dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Manage provider templates for non-surgery patients for any routine follow-up, or assist with coordination of care if being referred to other specialties.
