Our Lady of Light Church in Anahuac, TX in 2023 as a CCE (Continuing Christian Education) teacher for fourth-grade children. My goal was to teach them the Ten Commandments and Seven Sacraments and recite the Our Father prayer and Hail Mary prayer that they had learned the year prior. Being able to communicate with small children and make them laugh brings me joy and I hope one day I become a fun pediatric nurse.
Our Lady of Light Youth Group volunteered at the nursing home "Arboretum of Winnie Nursing" in April 2018, We had the opportunity to talk to the elderly and keep them company, as well as help them walk through the hallways or play bingo. This has helped me better understand how to better take care of the geriatric patients in the future as a nurse.
