• Manages a caseload of 40+ students with complex medical needs, such as cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and congenital syndromes, ages 3 to 21, in a specialized school setting.
• Provides direct intervention, consultation, and assessment/IEP services to the STAR post-secondary vocational skills program.
• Supervises AAC device trials, and facilitates funding processes.
• Oversees classroom teams, delivering ongoing training on communication and AT implementation schoolwide (AAC, hearing equipment, etc.).
• Conducts trials of various assistive technology access methods (eye gaze, switch scanning, etc.). and AAC systems (PRC, PODD, Tobii, etc.) tailored to individual student needs.
• Maintains an inventory of loaner trial devices and other assistive technology/AAC equipment.
• Develops and delivers comprehensive professional development sessions on communication intervention and mealtime safety to staff.
• Provides training to families and staff district wide on effective practices for communication development and assistive tech implementation.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team (OT, PT, classroom staff, etc.). to develop treatment strategies and goals for patients.
• Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops appropriate IEPs, and attends IEP and evaluation meetings.

Initiated contract with Speech Clinic Inc. for school-based services at Southern Elementary School.

• Managed a caseload of 45+ students in kindergarten through fourth grade within special education and general education settings in a large, diverse school district.
• Administered standardized assessments, including the GFTA, CELF, CASL, LPT, PLS, DAY-C, DEAP, and more, to evaluate student needs and inform individualized education programs.
• Participated in MTSS and SBT processes; screened students to determine the need for further evaluation.
• Conducted group and individual therapy sessions addressing articulation, phonology, motor planning, expressive/receptive language, AAC, functional communication needs, etc.
• Collaborated with a team of five SLPs to implement school-wide language supports, including Core Word curriculum and various professional development programs for staff.
• Collaborated with interdisciplinary team.
• Oversaw trial and implementation of various AAC supports, such as communication boards and devices.
• Facilitated mealtime safety training for staff to ensure a secure environment for students of all feeding abilities.

• Assessed pediatric speech and language disorders through standardized assessments and family interviews to design treatment plans in an outpatient service delivery setting.
• Developed and delivered a family training protocol for a diverse group of clients in the birth to 3 age group, with significant language delays.
• Delivered standardized assessments such as the DAY-C, Receptive and Expressive One-Word Picture Vocabulary tests, CASL, GFTA, etc.
• Delivered outpatient speech and language therapy services to clients from birth through 18 years of age for a variety of needs, including speech sound disorders (phonological disorders, articulation, apraxia of speech, etc.), early speech development in the 0-3 population, AAC intervention, pragmatic language, fluency disorders, and more.
• Provided co-treatment services and interdisciplinary evaluations with occupational therapy.
