Summary

Results-driven student pursuing a Social work/ Sociology degree with excellent organization skills. Successful at accomplishing student projects. Strong analytical thinker and problem solver, quick to learn new skills.

I have done volunteer work at local city events and in religious facilities which have helped expose me to all types of people and interact with one another.

I may not have much professional working experiences as I have always worked as a housekeeper with my mother, and most recently as a substitute paraeducator in elementary schools.

Highly-motivated employee with desire to take on new challenges. Strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills.

I have learned to interact with all types of people and become organized and reliable.

With this being said I have also worked as a dog sitter and a baby sitter.

I cared for elderly people from doing small tasks to bathing and feeding them, this helped me become compassionate and patient.

I have worked at local school districts for a few months as a substitute paraeducator and an instructional aid. As a substitute paraeducator, I have offered support to many elementary schools whether it be in an after school program, 1-5 grade class rooms, and in head-start/preschools. Fortunately, I am currently employed by Romoland School District as a Bilingual Aide. I offer support to students whom are ELA or only spanish speaking, as well as supporting teachers. At my current position I continue to grow and learn, most importantly on how to support both teachers and students so that academic growth and development can be made.

I have worked with many people allowing me to have references and experiences.

I had the opportunity to do my service learning at an elementary school in Carlsbad, mentoring the youth on a semester long project.

I was given the chance to intern at a non-profit organization, Rancho Damacitas, helping the single mothers and their children by offering child care and support in anyway that I could.

During an education course, I conducted my service learning at a middle school mentoring young children in an afterschool program.

I was currently a CASA for Voices for Children, throughout the Riverside county.

I am bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English having the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages.

I graduated from High school earning my diploma and the California state seal of Biliteracy and the Golden state seal Merit Diploma.

I have my associates degree in Liberal arts- Social and Behavioral Sciences.

I graduated from Cal State San Marcos earning my BA in Sociology.

I am here to learn and gain new experiences each step of the way, hoping to help others and make a positive impact.
