Research Experience

Combined Genetics and Cell Biology Lab: A collaborative research project focused on examining the impact of saccharin on A20 BALB/c cells, specifically targeting the tas1r2 gene.   

  • Conducted RNA quantification to assess the cellular response to saccharin.
  • Designed gene-specific primers using the Ensembl gene database and BLAST.
  • Utilized RT-PCR to amplify and analyze the tas1r2 gene.

Genomics class project:  A class project that investigated the presence of reductive citric acid cycle enzymes in autotrophic organisms.
