Samantha Wilson Dill

I have taught 7th and 8th grade social studies including Arkansas History, Geography, and U.S. History. I bring a strong understanding of the content and how to make it comprehensible and meaningful. With several years of ELA and ESOL experience, I always move students forward in reading and writing in my social studies classrooms without sacrificing essential learning of content.

• Developing and presenting clear, engaging lectures over the U.S. Constitution.
• Facilitating discussions on key civics topics, including the branches of government, federal vs. state powers, and the Bill of Rights.
• Tailoring content for diverse audiences, including immigrants, students, and community members.

• Danville is a socioeconomically and culturally diverse village in rural Arkansas. Supported by a culture of excellence, I led our students to make remarkable gains in and out of the classroom. I taught a combination of literacy and social studies for the bulk of my time there, but due to a teacher shortage, I happily taught sixth-grade science my last two years with the district.

• I served as lead teacher at Springdale Head Start for a semester in a student centered preschool classroom primarily made up of English language learners. I built rapport with parents through daily conversations in English and Spanish as well as home visits.
