Samia participated in three major organizations during her time at Weymouth High School: WHS Step Team, National Honor Society, and Black Student Union.

  • She was Captain of the Step Team for one year, teaching new members steps, creating new routines for performances, and prioritizing team unity.
  • As a member of the National Honor Society, she participated in different community events such as a Read-a-Thon, Jeans for Troops, Red Cross Blood Drive, and a Toy Drive for the Boston Children's Hospital.
  • Samia was Vice President of the Black Student Union for two years and President for one year. She displayed skills of leadership and creativity by presenting elaborate and engaging presentations for her members. She also actively participated in the Black Student Union's book drive, where they personally delivered 16-17 books to all eight elementary schools of the town. These books featured characters of color and diversified the bookshelves of Weymouth's schools.
