I have spent the last 25 years dividing my time between patient care and management duties in the perioperative and hospital setting.

My duties include Quality Management, Performance Improvement, Chart Uilization and Documentation Review, Infection Control, Policy Improvement, Pharmacy oversight, Budget development, Hiring and Retention, Employee Health and Safety, OSHA compliance, staff education and performance evaluations as well as hands on clinical experience in all perioperative settings (pre-op, OR and PACU).

• I serve as clinical liaison to physician offices to assist non clinical staff with navigation of processes.
• Planned and assigned workload to 38-person nursing staff to direct patient care.
• Ensured regulatory compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and Texas Department of Health by staying current on industry standards and updating policies accordingly.
