Work History

Consultant Product Development Manager

Dell Technologies
Hopkinton, MA
12.2018 - Current

• As a Technical Product Development Manager within the heart of Dell Technologies' Incubator, I build 'bite sized' Proof of concepts for business units that do not have the resources, time or skills to prove out their innovative Ideas.
• I am responsible for selecting ideas from a pipeline of suggestions to validate for Market, Technical, and Customer feasibility. Should an idea meet all three of these areas of idea validation, a pitch deck is produced and shopped across potential sponsoring business units.
• If a business unit agrees to sign on to a 16 week Prototyping sponsorship, I assign and lead an Agile development team to design and build a working prototype for the sponsoring business unit(s).
• My team often owns some of the highest visibility future innovations within Dell Technologies. We embrace risk, encourage creativity, and thrive in a high energy, rapidly changing environment.
• We are responsible for influencing what's next at Dell Technologies and providing the proving ground for the go-to-market strategy of our next generation of products.

  • Distinguished product issues and gathered information on customer experiences.
  • Oversaw development of more than 8 new products each year.
  • Hosted product demonstrations and promoted features to clients.

Chief Product Owner

Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Westborough, MA
05.2017 - 11.2018
  • Oversaw entire product deployments from vision and creation to rollout and delivery.
  • Owned and prioritized product backlog.
  • Focused on building critical features up front in order to identify constraints and technical challenges.
  • Managed implementation of new features by outlining plans and specifications such as how, where and when each component would work.
  • Generated more than $15MM in revenue for the business in the 2 FQ following the release of the solution Sammie built, which exceeded the total use-case revenue in the 2 years prior to its release.
  • Because of her in-depth, hands on knowledge of End User Computing (EUC) products, Sammie was able to identify the competitiveness of the Simplivity product as an EUC solution. This insight led to the funding of a Solutions team to deliver a complete EUC solution.
  • As solutions product owner, Sammie staffed a team who, with her leadership, delivered high quality reference designs, performance white papers, solutions guidelines, best practices and sizing calculators. This work, along with Sammie and the team’s engagement with development, sales, product management and marketing resulted in significant new revenue for the company.
  • Sammie collaborated with technical alliance partner, LoginVSI, to develop standards for their “Validated By” LoginVSI 3rd party test validation program in a push to increase integrity and transparency in the highly competitive EUC market segment.
  • Sammie delivered the initial EUC sizing calculator that took inputs that included CPU, memory, storage IO and Storage capacity which output the number of specific Simplivity SKUs required to meet the requirements. The fundamental design of this tool is still in use today by internal sales teams and channel partners.
