- The most physically demanding labor job I had was in Everdry Waterproofing, where I was tasked with digging trenches, carrying buckets of gravel, opening up the basement floor, and carrying large rocks.
- To get the customer's home waterproof we dug trenches 2 ft deep outside the perimeter of the home to put a new drainage system in and connected it to the system in the basement.
- This job facilitated in my mind how important teamwork is in any task & how much smoother and easier the process goes when everyone is on the same page doing their certain tasks.
- My task most days was the organization of equipment, digging, tarring the wall just trenched out, putting plastic on it, putting in corrugated piping and connecting them all, getting buckets of gravel and throwing it in, then backfilling the trench in.
- In the inside of homes I broke the floor up carried the chunks into the truck, and put the new system in.
- A short two and a half month experience I had there because the work to pay ratio was inadequate for myself but one that I learned a lot from.
