Systems include: Main Diesel Engines, Electrical (960Vac, 640Vac, 480Vac, 120Vdc, 24/12Vdc), HVAC and Refrigeration, Plumbing, Propulsion Drives, and Major Liquid Mud and Dry Bulk Systems, and Air Compressor.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting diesel/gas engines, generators, propulsion systems, pumps, HVAC, hydraulics, and power distribution systems to ensure optimal vessel performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • While onboard I worked closely with the 3rd A/E learning his engine room rounds and the normal working conditions of the systems throughout the vessel
  • I worked closely with the 2nd A/E on the cleaning and inspections of the centrifugal HFO Separator
  • During my time as a cadet I learned and worked with the Oiler and 1st A/E on Welding and Fabrication projects throughout the vessel; the largest one being a crack in a steel frame in the upper engine room
