I was hired onto longhorn as just a dishwasher, but had the drive to do more. Through mentors in the kitchen helping me along the way, and my desire to learn more, I have learned and become competent in every position in the kitchen. From dishwashing, to making appetizers on salad/fry, plating the main entrees and sides on QB, to finally cooking steaks on a Char grill or flat top grill.
My competency in these positions led my managers to make me a certified trainer at longhorn, showing new employees how to become proficient in their given position. Even still, I have an open mind, and regularly learn new ways to be more efficient at my job from my mentors in the kitchen.
My desire to learn as much as I can in whatever I do, and my coachability working under someone, will make me a valuable asset in whatever I am working on.
