This program is a two week summer camp that aims to give individuals with disabilities, from the ages of 18 to 80, a real college experience. My responsibilities under this title include:

• Overseeing, organizing and coordinating all events for the New visions program at Onondaga Community college
• Reviewing and implementing the ISPs of all students, as well as communicating these supports to all staff.
• Assist teachers and monitors in efficiently communicating with the students and appropriately reacting to their behaviors
• Communicate with several departments of the college in order to obtain the necessary resources for the students and staff (custodial, IT, food service, etc.)
• Held multiple titles in this organization since July of 2014.

• Utilized variety of methods, skills and tools to provide direct behavior support to students on caseload.
• Delivered evidence-based behavior curricula to students while maintaining high levels of behavioral and academic expectations for students.
• Developed intervention support plans for students to build behavioral skill capacity and preserve student access to instruction.
• Develop, document, and model implementation of behavior intervention plans. Support building staff in implementing and collecting accurate data on student's behavioral progress.
• Train staff district wide in TCIS, and act as a consult to all staff.

• Created and managed IEPs to define student learning objectives and educational strategies, in addition to applying instructional knowledge and methods to support goals.
• Created learning and content strategies to meet needs of mentally and physically disabled students.
• Communicated nonverbally with children to provide comfort, encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Redirected students using Positive Behavior Support (PBS).
• Led activities that developed students' physical, emotional and social growth.
• Incorporated home activities to supplement classroom lessons.
• Developed and managed instructional materials and reports.
• Collaborated with students with multiple degrees of special needs to accomplish various tasks.
• Awarded "teacher of the year" at McKinley-Brighton in 2020-2021 school year.

• Worked with both high school and middle school populations in the 12:1:4 Stellata program
• Used behavior modeling and specialized teaching techniques to share and reinforce social skills
• Worked with individual students to provide personalized educational, behavioral and emotional support, according to specific procedures found in their IEPs and behavior plans
• Facilitated instruction as a substitute lead teacher for full school days on several occasions
• Offered complete instructional support for students unable to attend regular classes

• Provide students with disabilities opportunities to participate in recreational events in their community
• Develop vocational skills and explore possible employment options
• Furthering their independence
