Our team designed a system that allows users to digitally compose music through foot movements. Utilizing an Arduino Nano 33 BLE, accelerometers, and pressure-sensitive film embedded in the shoe, our approach captures the nuances of users' foot gestures, wirelessly transmitting the data to Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) via Bluetooth. https://www.umass.edu/engineering/news/neely-drum-machine-shoes

Materials Science and Engineering Projects
I
nvestigated  the mechanical properties of composite materials, with a focus on tensile strength and fatigue resistance. Experiments were conducted using Instron testing machines to evaluate material performance under stress, and the resulting data was analyzed to determine suitability for engineering applications. A comprehensive report was prepared, providing recommendations for material selection based on the findings, showcasing the application of theoretical knowledge to practical engineering challenges.

CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Projects

These projects focused on the design and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. Detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and simulations were created to optimize designs for strength and durability. Stress and strain analysis was performed using Ansys to ensure components could withstand real-world operating conditions. The work demonstrated strong proficiency in CAD and FEA tools, as well as a thorough understanding of design principles and precision in engineering.
